This year marks the 100th anniversary of The Council, and while we honor and recognize our past, we continue to look towards tomorrow, towards a promising future. We hope you can join us in sharing the celebration. Thanks for being part of it all.
Legislative Leadership Summit

Mark your calendar and book your flights – we need you in Washington this February. Every year we ask for your help educating your elected officials and lobbying them on critical legislation. But this year is special. The November election ushered in nearly 90 new Members of Congress who will be considering legislation impacting everything from employee benefits and broker licensing to reauthorization of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act. Most new Members of the 113th Congress know very little about your business and how it’s going to be impacted by their decisions. Our goal is to collectively strengthen the industry and educate these new and existing lawmakers.
The 113th Congress left a lot of unfinished business on the table. We’ll be working hard over the next year on major issues impacting the broker community, specifically on implementation of the Affordable Care Act, reauthorization of TRIA, and establishing a national broker licensing regime. Members of Congress need to be aware of how these issues impact your business and how they can help keep our industry strong. Your service on Capitol Hill always yields high dividends and we’re forever grateful for all that you do. We hope to see you here February.
