Media Policy for the Insurance Leadership Forum, the Wholesale Insurance Leadership Forum and the Employee Benefits Leadership Forum

The General Business Sessions at the Insurance Leadership Forum, the Wholesale Insurance Leadership Forum and the Employee Benefits Leadership Forum are open to media that cover the insurance industry and financial news.  However, no television cameras, webcast coverage or audio broadcasts are allowed.

Additional restrictions on use of recording devices and still cameras may be imposed by individual speakers in their contractual agreements with The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers.  Media seeking credentials to cover the events are urged to check with The Council in advance about additional restrictions on General Session coverage.

Media coverage options for the three annual Forums are limited to the General Business Sessions and, if applicable, the annual Speaker’s Luncheon; all other meetings including Executive Forums are closed to media coverage.

Media organizations seeking credentials to cover The Council's Forums are limited to one representative for each organization.  Only working reporters can be credentialed. There will be no exceptions to this rule, and media organizations are urged to plan their coverage assignments accordingly.

No interviews with conference speakers or press availability before or after the General Sessions will be scheduled by The Council.

To be credentialed for the Forums, an individual must fill out a registration form and submit it seven days in advance of the conference starting date.  Media representatives who are not credentialed in advance will not be granted access.  Once a registration form is received, The Council will send conference information, including directions on accessing a list of attendees, to the journalist.

Registration DOES NOT entitle media representatives to hotel accommodations.  Media will be provided a list of lodging options along with their registration materials and are responsible for securing their own lodging.

Once on-site, media may pick up their registration materials and conference badges at The Council Registration Desk.  Media representatives are required to wear their identification badges at all times at the event.

Media registration DOES NOT entitle media representatives to attend evening social events.  All such events are by invitation only at the discretion of the sponsors.
