The Health Insurance Agent & Broker Alliance is comprised of AHIA-NAIFA Health and Employee Benefits (AHIA), The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB), the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big "I"), the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Collectively, these groups represent more than 500,00 professional health insurance advisors, agents, borkers, consultants and employee benefit specialists. With both the House and Senate poised to consider health care reform legislation this month, this event is a tremendous opportunity for the health insurance producer community to send a loud message to Congress about preserving the private delivery of health insurance and to voice opposition to the creation of a public plan that would unfairly compete against private insurance companies in the health insurance marketplace. Participants will lobby their representatives in Congress about the important role professional health insurance advisors , agents, brokers, consultants, and employee benefit specialists play in providing health care to millions of Americans.
