The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers is the voice of the market leaders and the premier association for commercial insurance and employee benefits intermediaries in the United States and abroad. From its headquarters in Washington, DC – with programs conducted throughout the nation and world – The Council represents leading commercial insurance agencies and brokerage firms. Only the top one percent of all agents and brokers qualify. The Council's members in more than 3,000 locations, place 80 percent — well over $90 billion — of all U.S. insurance products and services protecting business, industry, government and the public at-large, and they administer billions of dollars in employee benefits. The Council provides its members with industry intelligence and a variety of  educational opportunities through its series of annual Leadership Forums and its partnership with WebCE to provide continuing education opportunities. The Council incorporates two standing committees to offer additional benefits to members, The Council of Insurance Company Executives and The Council of Employee Benefits Executives.

The Council of Insurance Company Executives is comprised of more than 65 of the top commercial insurers and is a standing committee of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. Collectively, CICE members are responsible for writing more than three-quarters of the nation's commercial business insurance premiums. CICE's principal mission is to co-host the three annual Leadership Forums which connect the leaders of the commercial insurance marketplace - the CEOs of the top insurance carriers and the leading executives from the top one percent of agencies and brokerages. The Leadership Forums offer our members the opportunity to build successful business relationships that last a lifetime and provide a series of unique educational opportunities geared toward agents and brokers. The Council of Employee Benefits Executives is an exclusive member benefit at The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. CEBE and CICE co-sponsor the Employee Benefits Leadership Forum at The Greenbrier, the industry's only employee benefits market meeting.
