FAME Scholarship Program
To realize its long-term goal of developing future industry leaders, FAME launched a scholarship program for the 2006-2007 academic year by selecting the first four college students to receive $5,000 scholarships to pursue careers in risk management and insurance. This FAME initiative is aimed at encouraging more young people to consider the field of risk management and insurance as a profession. Pictured below are the recipients of FAME's first four scholarships.

Currently FAME hosts scholarships at 18 universities. Eight of the ten universities listed in Business Insurance's "Top School's Offering Risk Management and Insurance Programs" ranking are apart of FAME's scholarship program. FAME has provided a total of 131 scholarships to 105 aspiring insurance professionals. For a complete list of all 105 FAME Scholars, please click here. In order to qualify for a FAME scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:
- Attend one of FAME's host universities
- Major or minor in Risk Management & Insurance
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Undergraduate student enrolled in junior or senior year
- Demonstrate financial need
Looking ahead, FAME's goal is to build a true industry-wide scholarship program. We would like to expand to other universities with strong insurance programs all around the country and one day increase the size of each scholarship. To do this, we must build the FAME endowment. Another important component of FAME’s mission is to encourage our members to get in
front of those studying to be our future insurance industry leaders and to make them
