Using the unparalleled World War II (WWII) museum in New Orleans as a backdrop, this program, designed for senior leaders, will explore the strategic planning and problem-solving processes of the great leaders from WWII.
WWII provides us with an excellent example of how to defeat formidable enemies without abandoning your values and core-principles.
In finely planned briefings, we will receive a situation report, explore action items and learn the outcomes of four major phases of the war. We will take virtual staff rides through the museum’s Arsenal of Democracy. Galleries such as Gathering Storm and America Responds will be woven into lessons on planning and disaster recovery.
This program will be presented by two of the top experts on WWII: Dr Robert Citino, an award-winning military historian and scholar, and retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Larry Merington, an adjunct professor at Tulane University in Management and Strategic Integration.
The lessons in WWII are abundant, and our professors will correlate the historic acts of strategic thinking and high-level problem solving with current leadership practices. These lessons are brought to life by the dynamic exhibits that will provide a compelling and engaging atmosphere. Using the military model of absolute clarity of mission, extraordinary adaptability and precise management of complex systems, we will focus on problem-solving in stressful and uncertain contexts.
