The PRC® Hybrid is a five-month, cohort-based learning experience designed for early-career Property & Casualty professionals. It combines self-paced online coursework with live, instructor-led sessions that reinforce real-world application. Participants gain technical expertise, earn Continuing Education (CE) credits, and are eligible to receive the Professional Risk Consultant (PRC®) designation upon completion.
The PRC® Hybrid program is ideal for early-career Property & Casualty professionals who learn best through a combination of structure, accountability, and interactive instruction. If you value guided learning, opportunities to engage with industry experts, and a clear timeline to stay on track, this five-month hybrid model is the right choice.
You’ll complete online, self-paced coursework supported by live virtual sessions that bring concepts to life — blending flexibility with collaboration. Each cohort begins in March and September, allowing new hires or early-career professionals to join when it best aligns with your firm’s development plans.
Cohorts begin twice each year — in March and September. Each five-month session allows participants to progress through the program together, supported by instructors and peers. Early registration is encouraged, as space is limited and firm enrollment often fills quickly.
Yes. PRC® Hybrid participants can earn Continuing Education (CE) credits in multiple states while completing the program. The Council provides guidance on credit eligibility and documentation requirements for each participant.
The PRC® Hybrid program is designed for new-to-the-industry Property & Casualty professionals — typically those with less than two years of experience — who are motivated to build technical expertise and client-service confidence. It’s also ideal for firms looking to accelerate onboarding and invest in the growth of rising talent.
Participants should plan to dedicate approximately 3–5 hours per week to complete self-paced coursework and participate in live sessions. The hybrid format is structured to accommodate full-time work schedules while maintaining steady progress toward the designation.

Employer sponsorship is not required — individual professionals may register directly. However, many firms choose to sponsor their employees to integrate PRC® Hybrid into onboarding or development plans. Sponsorship can help align coursework with firm goals, support scheduling, and make it easier to reinforce learning on the job.
Whether you enroll independently or through your firm, you’ll have full access to the same curriculum, resources, and designation eligibility.
Yes, you can move between formats, but the process depends on which version you’re currently enrolled in:
From Hybrid → On-Demand: You can transition. The Council and The Institutes will help ensure a smooth transfer so you can continue your coursework without losing progress toward your PRC® designation.
From On-Demand → Hybrid: Because the Hybrid program runs in structured cohorts that begin in March and September, you’ll need to wait for the next cohort to start. There is also a price difference between the formats, which will be applied at the time of transfer.
If you’re considering a change, contact The Council’s education team for guidance on timing, pricing, and how to best maintain your learning momentum.
Registration is open now for the September cohort — don't wait to secure your spot and start your path to the PRC® designation.
