The Claims & Risk Management Working Group convened April 23–24, 2024, at The Council's Washington, D.C. offices. Day one featured a design-thinking exercise exploring root causes of industry challenges—part of a cross-working-group initiative to surface themes for the November innovation session. Day two spotlighted a Beazley and CrisisRisk Strategies presentation on political violence and deadly weapons protection, covering mass shooting trends, crisis management strategies, and gaps in traditional insurance policies. Peer breakout sessions tackled GenAI, evolving risk, carrier interactions, and data analytics.
