THE COUNCIL OF INSURANCE AGENTS & BROKERS ELECTS KEITH T. SCHULER OF INTERWEST INSURANCE SERVICES – A BROADSTREET COMPANY AS 2023/2024 CHAIR
Washington, D.C. – Keith T. Schuler, President/CEO of InterWest Insurance Services – A BroadStreet Company, was elected the 2023/2024 Chair for The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (The Council) during The Council’s 110th annual Insurance Leadership Forum in Colorado Springs, CO. Schuler succeeds Robert J. Klonk, Chairman and CEO of Oswald – a Unison Risk Advisors Company.
As Chair of The Council, Schuler leads a team of officers including Vice Chair Andy Barrengos, Woodruff Sawyer (San Francisco, CA); Treasurer John M. Howard, Truist Insurance Holdings (Charlotte, NC); and Secretary Eric Leavitt, Leavitt Group Enterprises (Cedar City, UT).
“Our clients are navigating new risks and challenges every day, as are we in the management of our organizations” said Schuler. “The Council creates opportunities for us to collaborate and leverage the collective experience of our community to address these issues head on. I’m honored to lead a Board that is made up of some of the most dedicated and talented professionals in our industry.”
Schuler joined InterWest’s predecessor organization, Lindo Hanna & Abbott, in 1987. He became a partner in 1991 and accepted the role of Northern Division President in 1995. He became Executive Vice President in 2001 and accepted the position of President/Chief Executive Officer in 2008. Schuler has previously served on The Council’s Planning & Strategic Resources Committee.
