Raytheon-Websense has released a report which predicts that cyber insurance will lead to better security. According to the report, even the basic requirements for taking out a cyber-insurance policy will help strengthen a company’s cybersecurity.

Carl Leonard, principal security analyst at Raytheon-Websense, explains that “many businesses may find they are not in a strong position to prove they have done all they are required to do by their insurers to mitigate an attack.” As a result, these companies must increase security measures in order to take out a cyber-insurance policy. The article continues to discuss cyber insurance pricing, what criminals often do with stolen data, and how cybersecurity is expected to evolve in the future.
