The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society has become the first healthcare-based firm to sign onto the Chamber of Commerce’s coalition pushing for a cybersecurity bill in Congress.
The Chamber has sent a letter signed by three dozen organizations – including The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers – calling on Congress to pass the CISPA bill. Currently HIMSS is working on rallying other health-focused groups to support the Chamber’s efforts to pressure Congress to act on information sharing.
