The insurance data security model law, which was adopted in October by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and which has many similarities to the New York Department of Financial Services’ Cybersecurity Rule, has been adopted by South Carolina—and other states, like Rhode Island, are looking to follow in South Carolina’s footsteps.
