Washington, D.C. – July 29, 2021 – The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (The Council) was pleased to welcome eight new member firms and seven new sponsors in the second quarter of 2021. The new members include: World Insurance Associates (Edison, N.J.), Summit Risk Advisors (Avon, Conn.), C3 (San Diego, Calif.), Beehive Insurance Agency (Salt Lake City, Utah), Renaissance Alliance Insurance Services (Southborough, Mass.), Commercial Insurance Associates (Brentwood, TN), Oakbridge Insurance Agency (LaGrange, Ga.), and the McGraw Group (Anaheim, Calif.).

“We are pleased to see a continued interest in the education, advocacy, and market intelligence The Council provides to the commercial insurance brokerage industry,” said Ken A. Crerar, President/CEO of The Council. “We look forward to working closely with our new members and learning more about the unique perspectives they bring to our community.”

“As our industry continues to respond to the pandemic and other evolving challenges, it is essential that our membership represent various backgrounds and skill sets that will help us see around corners and prepare for the future” said David Becker, CEO of Cottingham & Butler in Dubuque, Iowa, and The Council’s 2021 Chairman. “We welcome the energy and fresh ideas of our new member firms.”

The Council welcomed one new Platinum Partner, Bold Penguin, and one new Gold Partner, Everest Re Group. Five new Event Sponsors also signed on to support The Council’s flagship meetings in 2021 – the Insurance Leadership Forum and the Employee Benefits Leadership Forum: Ascot Group, Experian, Genomic Life, Ochsner Health, and ThreeFlow.

“Our sponsors are committed to the long-term sustainability of our industry and view their investment in The Council and our events as an investment in the future of commercial insurance brokerage,” continued Becker. “We are grateful for their support of the business-critical resources The Council provides to our firms and clients.”

The Council will host its annual Employee Benefits Leadership Forum next week in Colorado Springs, Colo.
