Thales, a French multinational company that specializes in electrical systems, aerospace, defense, transportation and security, hopes to increase its revenue by hundreds of millions of euros in a new strategic cybersecurity deal with Cisco Systems. These two companies have been partners since 2010, and hope to create a better solution to cyber-attacks that can respond in real time. When this new system is designed, it will first be targeted to French infrastructure, and then it is planned to go global.
Thales currently makes €500 million ($550 million) in the cybersecurity industry from its acquisition of Vormetric in March for €375 million ($375 million).
