Newly appointed House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes talked with Bloomberg last week where he pushed for the re-authorization of the NSA metadata program as well as the need to pass CISPA.
Nunes hailed his predecessor Mike Rogers and Ranking Member Dutch Ruppersberger for “for being ahead of the curve on cyber-threats,” but noted how Congress has failed to pass their info-sharing bill (CISPA). He stated that, “the pace of cyberattacks is increasing, and failure to stop the perpetrators could lead to massive economic problems as well as national security challenges.”
