The Council recently joined a coalition called Partnership for America’s Health Care Future (PAHCF), along with other industry players, including pharmaceutical companies, hospital systems and insurance carriers. PAHCF’s mission is to support efforts to strengthen employer-provided healthcare coverage and to deliver affordable, accessible and expanded options for care.

So far, the coalition has raised its voice through P.R. campaigns in local communities where midterm elections are drumming up conversations about healthcare costs. In general, healthcare-related issues have been gaining traction in the press. From September 7-14, there were 86,000 mentions of single-payer topics, like Medicare for All, which accounted for 23 percent of the total conversation volume, across all types of media.
