A new report by the Ponemon Institute finds that 81% of executives have a data breach plan in place, but only 34% say they are “very effective” or “effective.” The “Third Annual Study: Is Your Company Ready for a Big Data Breach?” found that most data breach response plans were inadequate. In addition, 35% of respondents said their organizations purchase cyber insurance or data breach insurance, up from 26% last year.
