Due to an absence of high-profile data breaches in recent months, cyber insurance rates declined in the first quarter of 2016, say insurance industry brokers. According to Marsh, “The average price companies in high-risk industries paid for $1 million in cyber insurance coverage fell 13 percent to $18,756 in the first three months of 2016.” On the other hand, “the average premium rose 28 percent last year to $21,642 for comparable buys in industries such as retail and health care.” Read more
