UK Finance Minister George Osbourne has announced that the UK will double its spending on cyber defenses to £1.9 billion ($2.9 billion) a year by 2020. “They (the Islamic State) have not been able to use it (the internet) to kill people yet by attacking our infrastructure through cyberattack. They do not yet have that capability. But we know they want it, and are doing their best to build it.”
ISIS has also made enemies of the hacker group Anonymous who, in an unverified video posted on YouTube over the weekend declared “war” on ISIS and said that they should expect “massive cyber attacks.”
