In an attempt to combat the threat of data and privacy breaches, Aviva has launched its first cyber coverage policy for small to mid-market customers.
The insurer has partnered with IDT911, a data services company, “to provide insurance that offers cover and risk management services to help customers prepare in advance for and manage any issues after a data loss or breach.”
The policy covers data breach response including investigation and response costs, computer coverage tailored to clients’ needs and third-party liability up to £500,000.
