A hacker accessed the Baton Rouge police records and publicly posted 50,000 records. This was an attempt to protest the police killing of a Baton Rouge local, Alton Sterling. The hacker leaked records that contained names, addresses, emails and phone numbers, but we do not know exactly whom the information belongs to. It was found that no illegal entry took place, and that the hacker was able to gain access to the server by using legitimate credentials they found online.
