A recent GAO report has found that significant weaknesses remain in the US air traffic control systems including “sensitive data going unencrypted, systems left unpatched, and a lack of timely correction of identified flaws.” Additionally, the report finds that the FAA doesn’t always protect links between operational systems and support systems.
