Earlier this week, General Keith Alexander testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee during a hearing entitled “Future of Warfare.”
General Alexander urged Senators to make sure that in the final version of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, the Department of Defense has immediate access to cyber threat information and that this information does not get stalled at the Department of Homeland Security before getting to the departments that need to act on it. Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) said he does not expect Congress to get to a conference on CISA until 2016.
