A recent ISACA global survey its members shows that 46% of respondents believe that their organization will fall victim to a cyberattack in 2015 and 83% believe “cyberattacks are one of the top three threats facing organizations today.” Alarmingly, 86% responded that there is a global shortage of skilled cyber professionals.
The survey was conducted one week prior to President Obama’s State of the Union address and polled 3,439 ISACA members in 129 countries, including 1,211 members in the US. 76% responded that they “agree or strongly agree with President Obama’s proposed federal law requiring companies to notify consumers of a data breach within 30 days.” The full ISACA survey press release can be found here.
