On Jan. 20, 2016, Lockton Companies appointed Ben Beeson as its Cyber Risk Practice Leader. In this newly created position, Beeson will “work with the insurance broker’s leading team of cyber insurance professionals to guide companies through an increasingly challenging cyber risk environment.” After accepting this new position, Beeson said, “The insurance industry is at the forefront of the public policy debate about how best to incentivize companies to invest in cyber resilience. We need a great sense of urgency on this issue. It’s exciting to lead and support a talented group of people at Lockton who are focused on creating practical cyber risk solutions for clients.”
Already an industry leader, Beeson assisted in the creation of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and has supported the development of U.S. cyber security policy and testified before Congress regarding the development of the cyber insurance market.
