Reinsurer Munich Re and technology firm Hewlett-Packard are partnering to develop a product to offer comprehensive protection against cyber risks by “understand[ing] and assess[ing] the specific digital risks of major companies as precisely as possible.”
According to Nils Diekmann, underwriter for cyber risks at Munich Re, “by having an outstanding partner for information security we can offer our clients much, much more than just insurance. Optimal protection for our clients requires the right balance of IT security measures and a cyber insurance solution.”
HP’s contribution will be “its technical and organisational expertise in risk identification, measures for risk minimisation and forensic investigation in the event of a claim.”
