New York AG Wants “Strongest” Data Security Laws in U.S.

In an attempt to stem the flow of stolen personal information, New York  Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has proposed what he believes to be the strongest data security law in the country. The plan would make “e-mail addresses in combination with passwords or other data that would permit access to online accounts private information. It would also require companies that store information to have security measures in place.” Property Casualty has the full story.
