THE COUNCIL OF INSURANCE AGENTS & BROKERS INVESTS IN TALENT WITH NEW HIRES

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 20, 2022 – The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (The Council) announced that it is welcoming several new hires as part of an effort to fill both open and newly created positions on the CouncilPAC, Meetings, Membership, Marketing & Communications and Operations teams.

Luca Vallada has been promoted to CouncilPAC Manager after previously serving as Government Affairs Associate. In his new role, Luca will work closely with Director of Government Affairs, Blaire Bartlett, to educate and engage membership on CouncilPAC and The Council’s advocacy agenda, and to cultivate a fundraising strategy that allows for growth and increased member participation. Nargiz Ibrahimova, who recently joined The Council as Revenue Accounting Associate, serves as a member of both the CouncilPAC and finance department teams, handling financial reporting and accounting for the PAC.

Samantha Willow is joining The Council as Meetings and Membership Associate, providing support to both departments. She will assist with event registrations and communication, and collaborate with other departments on a variety of projects that involve membership data.

Marketing & Communications is welcoming two new design professionals to the team – Amy Puglisi and Shayla Pham. As The Council’s Art Director, Amy will be responsible for conceptual and creative direction for the Marketing & Communications initiatives across multi-channel platforms. Amy is joining The Council from the Independent Petroleum Association of America where she was Vice President of Marketing and Branding.

Shayla, The Council’s new Graphic Designer is a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. Shayla was hired after her summer internship and has already made her mark on a multitude of projects for The Council and Leader’s Edge.

Additionally, The Council has hired Patrick Silvey as Help Desk Representative. In this role, Patrick will support Nick Lozano, Director of Technology, and provide IT support to The Council’s staff.
