Even in the wake of the Sony hack and a wave of industry experts claiming that our nations critical infrastructure is woefully unprepared for a cyberattack, congress failed to pass breakthrough cyber legislation, including information sharing.
Although congress did pass five cyber related bills in the last days of the 113th Congress, they for the most part stipulated government agencies cyber roles and expanded the hiring process of the nations cyber workforce. Lawmakers chose to pass along the duty of enacting cyber information sharing to the next congress. The Hill has the whole story.
