UK Pubs Group JD Wetherspoon Hit by Cyber Attack

Cyber attacks are not just affecting the United States, it’s a global problem. Last Friday, British pub chain JD Weatherspoon announced personal information including names, email addresses, and birthdates of 650,000 customers had been breached in a cyber attack. Chief Executive John Hutson apologized to those who had been affected, explaining that “hacking is becoming more and more sophisticated and widespread. We are determined to respond to this by increasing our efforts and investment in security and will be doing everything possible to prevent a recurrence.”
