The costs associated with the average security incident in the United Kingdom have nearly doubled since 2014, according to the 2015 Information Security Breaches Survey conducted by PwC.
According to the report, the average cost of a security incident for a large company is now between £1.46 million ($2.2 million) and £3.1 million ($4.7 million), compared to the 2014 survey that placed the cost between £600k – £1.15m. For a small business, the costs ranged from £75k to £311k, up from £65k to 115k last year.
