On December 16, one of the largest independent commercial insurance brokerage firms, Woodruff-Sawyer & Co., announced that it will begin to provide companies with “additional resources to improve their cyber security risk posture and minimize the impacts of a potential breach across the organization.” In collaboration with FireEye Inc., the new offering will provide “extensive cyber insurance expertise with cyber risk assessment services from FireEye.”
As a result, Woodruff-Sawyer clients will now have access to some of the most advanced threat intelligence including an independent cyber security assessment which is personalized to the client’s organization. As Charlie Rosson, chief executive officer of Woodruff-Sawyer explains, “This is a critically important resource for our clients […] the ability to take a proactive approach to cyber risk management will help protect clients and improve their cyber risk profile, reducing their cyber insurance premiums.”
