Woodruff-Sawyer’s Jenn Walsh Named Chair of
The Council of Employee Benefits Advisory Board

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 2, 2017 –Jenn Walsh, senior vice president and partner, national benefits business development leader at Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. in San Francisco, Calif., has been named chair of the Council of Employee Benefits Executives (CEBE) Advisory Board, as announced today by The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. Walsh, who served in 2016 as CEBE vice chair, succeeds Dan Gowen, senior vice president, national practice leader at Wells Fargo Insurance Services in Chicago, Ill.

Walsh was appointed at the conclusion of The Council’s 16th annual Employee Benefits Leadership Forum (EBLF) in Colorado Springs, Colo. EBLF is the premier executive-level meeting of the benefits market nationwide, connecting broker, carrier and industry partners.

Walsh has more than 25 years of experience in the benefits industry. She drives the growth of Woodruff-Sawyer’s benefits business and influences the direction of corporate investment and priorities. Prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer 13 years ago, she worked for carriers and administrators including ProBusiness, PM Group Life Insurance Co., and Lincoln National.

Walsh earned her bachelor’s degree from University of California at Los Angeles and is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). She serves on Woodruff-Sawyer’s Executive Team and is on the firm’s ESOP Board of Trustees.

Walsh will serve as CEBE chair through the 2018 Employee Benefits Leadership Forum. Kerry Finnegan, global EH&B leader for mid-market business and carrier relations at Mercer in Chicago, Ill., has been appointed CEBE vice chair for 2017.

The Council of Employee Benefits Executives is an advisory board of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. The advisory board represents the benefits business interests of The Council’s member firms and guides The Council’s benefits initiatives including targeted advocacy efforts and market intelligence.
